Header Templates formerly known as Sender IDs are six-character codes, that represent the brand or company’s name.

 

 

 

 

Generally, the headers are different for different routes. Promotional headers are numeric while other types of headers are alphabetical headers.

 

How To Get Header Templates Approved From Airtel?

 

Getting your headers approved by Airtel is a three-stage. You can follow these steps to get your header IDs approved from the Airtel DLT portal.

1. Login into your “Airtel DLT platform”

2. On the home page click “Manage header options”. You will find all the headers and their approval status here.

 

 

 

 

3. For the new header registration option click on ” click here to register header”

 

 

 

 

4. The header registration window appears, click on the dropdown box to select the entity for which you are approving your header

 

 

 

 

5. Select the mode of communication as “SMS”

 

 

 

 

6. Select the type of communication

•  For promotional SMS
  • Select the promotional  SMS

 

 

 

 

• • Select the type of promotion category
• For transactional
  • Select transactional SMS
  • And then the category

7. Then add the name of the header which should be a six-digit code for promotional and for transactional or other header it should be 6 alphabets.

8. Click on “Add SMS header”

 

 

 

 

9. After the header is added you will get the list below. if you don’t want to add any more headers click on the check box.

10. As you click a pop-up asking for a CLI authorization letter. For submitting the authorization letter

• Download the authorization letter: click here
• The letter should be on the company’s letterhead
• Make sure the letter is in PNG, jpg, or jpeg format and not more than 10 MB in size.

 

 

 

 

11. Upload the document

12. Click “submit”. A reference ID is generated. You can check the status by clicking on “check status”

The approval of your header may take 24-48 hours at Airtel. If your documents are correct and justify your header then your headers get approved immediately or else you have to re-apply the header with proper justification.
