CTA Whitelisting at TATA DLT
The Telecom Regulatory Authority of India (TRAI) has recently revised its guidelines regarding the use of URLs and callback numbers in bulk SMS campaigns.
According to the updated regulations, all the URLs and callback numbers used in your bulk SMS campaigns must be whitelisted with your DLT (Distributed Ledger Technology) operator.
This means that prior approval is required for using these links and numbers. If you are using TATA DLT, the following guide will walk you through the process of whitelisting your Call to Action (CTA) for your SMS campaigns.
How To Whitelist CTA At TATA DLT?
1. Log in to the TATA DLT portal
2. Click on Principal Entity/ Telemarketer/ Aggregator & proceed to login with credentials
3. Click on the Whitelisting tab
4. Select “Whitelisting”
5. For Whitelisting Callback
- Select a “Number” option from the template dropdown box
- Select the type of Number: Mobile number, Landline number, or Toll-free number
- Mention the Number under the Value attribute & Reason under PE Remarks
- Click on the Submit.
6. For Whitelisting URLs
- Select “URL” as the template attribute
- Select the type of the URL from the options: dynamic, APK, static, short, or OTT
- Enter the URL and mention the reason in the remarks section
- Click Submit
